As November draws to a close I am rushing to reach my target word count. NaNoWriMo has kicked my ass this year and I have had to write more than usual over the last week to catch up. But I am only a couple of thousand words behind now and should be able to finish tomorrow.
During the last month I have finished a couple of the books in the convergence series (previously the alphabet series) and almost completely written a third from scratch.
H, the newest story begins as our protagonist dies in a car accident. At the moment of her death Helen is transported to a white temple outside of time and under the control of angels. After receiving gifts of power she returns to the world to search for magical creatures and report back. Not knowing how to navigate the magical world Helen stumbles around until she is discovered and must confess her connections.
I am still working out all the details, but the story has already taken on a life of its own. At some point Helen needs to connect with Kathy, but I’m not sure how that's going to work yet. All I do know is that Galia is going to be a part of it!
In the run up to Christmas I do not expect to have much time for writing, but I will try to make time when I can. However I am hoping to make it to Newcastle and Edinburgh Christmas markets so no promises. I also need to take a little time for myself and look after my health.
Until next time...
Grab a book. Snuggle up and read. A good story can take you anywhere.
Just believe.
