RIP Queen Elizabeth

ree

We stand in an historic moment. The death of the Queen has touched many of us and we take this time to mourn her passing and celebrate her life. I have seen many views in the last few days and while everyone is entitled to their own opinions on the royal family, I urge all to think how they would feel after losing a loved one. Queen Elizabeth was not only the head of our country she was a mother and grandmother too. My heart goes out to the family.

She rose to the throne in 1952 and served the country with dignity and grace for seven decades. She faced difficulties we will never fully understand and always had a smile for the people. We will feel her loss for years to come.

We sit, we mourn, we search now.

How can we go on carefree?

And we cannot see a way,

And so in mourning we stay.

And we know that life goes on.

One day we’ll give it a go.

For we know the ones we’ve lost,

Have crossed into heaven's glow.

Though we grieve her passing, the world still turns and life goes on. I am continuing my work on the third Acrostic to Zejel poetry book and hope to get back to writing my Alphabet series in the next few weeks.

Until next time...

Grab a book. Snuggle up and read. A good story can take you anywhere.

Just believe.
