NaNoWriMo

So once again I am starting the week a little late. In my defence, it was Halloween yesterday, my favourite holiday, and I made and gave out over 100 hands of sweets. I have also spent the last four days coughing and spluttering with a cold. Don’t worry, not covid, just a bad cold that will not allow me to sleep.

As we go into the new month I am happy to see my sales improving (thank you all) and I hope to make great strides in the Alphabet series which now has its (maybe) publishing series title. As I have been writing them, each story seems to be moving towards a single point in time. This was not my first idea for the series, but it’s what my characters are doing. Therefore the Alphabet series is now the Convergence series.

As I begin my yearly NaNoWriMo (national novel writing month) journey coughing and sneezing at my computer, my only hope is to create a world where good wins over evil, and right comes before wrong. Okay not my only hope. My first hope is that this cold leaves me alone and I can finally breathe properly again, but where is the poetry in that?

My plan is to finish Unas, Vala's, and Griff's stories as they seem to be rather pivotal characters in the overall story. Once I have them ‘finished’ I’ll move to Alexander, Kayla and Merrow. Their stories seem to be a little stuck, but I’m not sure why.

While the NaNoWriMo word target is 50’000 words in the month, I aim to double that this time. Maybe even more if I can shift this cold. So wish me luck and easy breathing or I might just decide to go back to reading instead of writing!

Until next time...

Grab a book. Snuggle up and read. A good story can take you anywhere.

Just believe.
