As one year ends and another begins.

Memories arise, virtues and sins.

We can all look back, maybe sigh with hope,

Or cry with loss, wonder how to cope.

What ever your year, whether happy or sad.

Remember tonight, and try to be glad.

You survived two years, maybe more.

Of trouble and strife, of what came before.

But look forward with hope, as everything ends.

Spend your time with family and friends.

Whatever will come cannot be fought.

Happiness and love cannot be bought.

So while you can, raise your voice.

Sing to the new year, smile and rejoice.
