A new week dawns.

As this new week dawns I find myself a little behind. My writing schedule says I should have written 35000 words so far this month I have only completed 29938. Not to worry, I have a plan!

I began a new story in the series this weekend. H! This one was unassigned, but now I have a strange story started and it has almost entirely captured my imagination. It begins with the death of our heroine! No you didn’t read that wrong. It starts with Helens death. I heard something last week that would not leave me alone. ‘If your death becomes imminent, time completely stops for everything and everyone around you until you become safe again.’

So using that concept I took the moment of death, after a car accident, and ran with it. I have been wanting to bring the angels into the series more than just the descendants, this gave me that opportunity. I don’t want to say too much as I have barely started to write yet, but this one is going to be a little different to the others in the series.

As the ancestors return, bringing with them the demons and evil long forgotten, so too will the angels return. But who is to say who or what is good in this new world? How can we know? The ancestors believe they know more about magic, but are their morals the same as those in this world? Will the angels protect the humans or seek to rule over us, using their own morality? Will the humans rise up and fight against these new powers they had long since forgotten?

Only time will tell. I actually cannot answer those questions myself as I am still working on the lead up to the convergence. Evalina is screaming in my head now. How can they be evil, they only want what's best for everyone? The angels are clamouring. How can they be wrong? They are higher beings with decades of knowledge. But how can humans control magical criminals?

I laugh at them all. Cassy, Loki, Charles, Jess and the other earthbound magical beings have more say in my mind. Their morality is in line with humans as they have lived together for their entire lives. Maybe they should create a council? A magical government?
