Chicken pox and writing.

For the last few weeks It has been extremely difficult to get any work done. My youngest son (11 years old) came home with chicken pox. He wasn't too bad, but as he has other medical conditions I had to be careful and watch how he reacted to the virus. Then, last week, my teenager (16 years old) started complaining that he wasn't feeling well. This in itself was concerning as he is never ill, but I checked him and, of cause, he has chicken pox.

He has now been home for 5 days and he's driving me up the wall. Talk about a drama queen. The first day he lay in bed groaning, the second day he moped around the house because I wouldn't let him go out to see his girlfriend (the spots weren't very noticeable then). By the third day he was complaining that it hurt to sit, stand, move, stay still, talk, swallow. Anything he tried to do hurt. His school has sent work home for him to complete and, of course, it hurts to do that too.

We are now onto day five and finally I have found some time to write. However every twenty minutes, what do I hear? Muuum??? Hopefully he will be back at school by the end of the week and I can get back to writing properly. Until then I am stuck repeating myself. Suck it up, its chicken pox, you're not dying! Is that a little harsh? Lol.

On the work front, I have started two new stories as I seem to have come to a standstill with my others (too many distractions). I have started a new children's story, Sorry it's not about Danny, but my youngest has read the start and is demanding more. The second is a story about a Djinni (genie). This one has captured my imagination and could be ready to publish by the summer. If anyone has questions for me, find me on Facebook or drop me a line through my website. I love to hear from my readers and no question goes unanswered, although it may take some time if my eldest doesn't get back to school soon.
